News from the fleet:

Adriana:
Today is braai day
Best regards

Argonaut:
Yesterday we changed small kite to big kite. Was not a good idea. Extraordinary strong gust tore the top off. Now we need a seamstress please. Thank you. Argonaut crew had a fabulous swim in crystal clear 22 degree warm mid atlantic water. Something we all looked forward to.

Ciao Bella – JM BUSHA 54 Sailing Team:
The past few days have probably been the most testing conditions we have sailed in. Having absolutely not a breath wind is the most frustrating thing to a sailor that can see wind in a forecast that breeze is only a matter of hours away… Anyway, wind is building again so we need to pack away the monopoly and carrying on racing!

Kind regards
JM BUSHA 54 Sailing Team

Myrtle of Bonnievale:
The last 24 hours we had light wind (under 10 knots) but very flat seas. Lovely spinnaker sailing. We had one huge hour glass in our spinnaker yesterday afternoon which took quite some time to unravel. At the moment we can see TamTam sailing less than a mile from us. Everybody is happy and we are curious when Sonja will bring the chocolates to the cockpit which she told us about in Cape Town. We heard there are lots.

Good day to all from Myrtle. Fish caught = 0.

Ronin:
wow, where is the wind. we all been swimming and sitting in the sun while the big red bag battles to fly. hope this is the end of the high. just put a loafof bread in the oven. think it’s steaks for dinner. tough life ?

Tam Tam:
After the adrenal rush to the start line and emotional goodbyes to leave on the adventure of a life time we all have been planning for months and years.. We finally starting to adapt to life at sea. It was great to wake up on Monday morning to realize that most people are heading back to the office and we have the privilege to open our eyes to white sails and the big blue ocean.

After a slow start we had very light winds and as you will see on our track.. We are still adapting to night watch with a few hick ups in our course. On Saturday night we discovered a lot of water in our bilges and after lot tasting and discussion on whether its a fresh water leak or a salt water leak we discovered a leaking valve in the heads, (toilet)…, needless to say we all had a good mouth rinse. We also have a secret love affair with Indulgence, as during the past 3 days she has been appearing and disappearing on our horizons… To the indulgence crew.. As hot as you looked in those FAF speedos. . …

We are not inclined that way(wink). The creatures of the ocean have come to greet us and thus far, we have seen a sunfish, albatrosses, a breaching blue shark, a brides whale and some dolphins. Monday morning we manage to get our spinnaker up and had a awesome run.. Good to be moving again.

Greetings from the deep blue. Tam tam crew

Umoya:
All good onboard! Got becalmed this morning and did some back flips from the bow into the great big blue!
