Avanti – owned and skippered by renowned fertility expert Dr. Klaus Wiswedel, is the 11th entry in the 2017 Cape 2 Rio Race. After suffering technical difficulties and having to retire in the 2014 Race, Avanti is back for another crack at the race. Avanti is no stranger to offshore racing having completed the 2009 Cape 2 Salvador Race and the 2014 Governors Cup.
Avanti is a Vickers 41 based at RCYC.
