Royal Cape Yacht Club (RCYC) and Iate Club do Rio de Janeiro (ICRJ) take pleasure in announcing the entry of Norhi.
“We are having a Balance 526 built in Saint Francis, SA and the timing of her completion (October) fits with when we intended to sail to the US. A slight detour to Brazil, in the name of adventure, made for a more exciting crossing,” says owner Larry Folom of his entry to the Cape2Rio race.
Norhi will have a a crew of eight. Four are family – wife Norhi (the boat’s name sake), myself (Larry Folsom), and our two kids Dylan (15) and Alexa (12). Campbell Field is our Navigator and Warwick “Waza” Kerr is the bowman. Scott Zebny fills the position of Tactician, and rounding off our crew is Catherine Fryer, an extremely experienced sailor. After the race, we intend to continue up to the Caribbean and the east coast of the United States.
