Two good old friends, Jarl (skipper and owner) from Sweden, and Andrew (Co-skipper) from Cape Town, are looking forward crossing the south Atlantic to Rio de Janeiro onboard Fryd, a Swedish built Najad 415p.

Fryd has now logged more than 40.000 miles crossing both the north and south Atlantic on several occasions. She came to Cape Town almost a year ago, making the long voyage from Scandinavia via Salvador Brazil and then took part in the Cape to St. Helena Race in 2024. Leaving Scandinavia in May 2023, she also sailed the Azores and Back 2023 Race. Fryd has now been refitted at the RCYC and is once again ready to make it out on the high seas.
