11 January 2020 The fleet is all on its way to the next mark – Rio de Janeiro!

Start One of the Cape2Rio2020 took place in Table Bay at 14:00 on 4 January 2020.  Perfect conditions with a light Westerly wind and a sun-drenched bay saw the slower fleet off after The Blessing of the Fleet and farewells at Royal Cape Yacht Club.

The Cape2Rio2020 Plue Peter Party was held on Friday 27th December 2019.  The Blue Peter flag is traditionally flown on board vessels about to leave port, calling all sailors to their ship before it leaves.  The Royal Cape Yacht Club venue was filled with competitors and supporters.
