Vuyie Jaca – Skipper

After winning the round the world Ocean Globe Race 2023/2024 passing the 3 great Capes with the Maiden team, I’m so excited for this adventure with friends. I just finished my Yachtmaster in the Solent, UK and have a background of sailing in the SA wild coast and 3 crossings, both Atlantic and Pacific. MOST2Rio, let’s go!

Bruce Tedder – Co-Skipper

I have unfinished business with the South Atlantic. I have done the Cape2Rio race four times with one 2nd place, two 3rd and one DNF when our rudder snapped. So now I am hoping for a ‘fifth time lucky’ with an awesome team on a very special yacht. Our crew is a blend of all-round ocean experience, positive attitude, youth and commitment. At the core of this MOST2Rio team is an extremely experienced skipper and co-skipper combination with close to 200,000 miles under their belts. Racing across an ocean with my daughter and close friends will make this a very special race. Bring it On.

Tadzio Orzechowski – Crew

I am an ocean and adventure man through and through, having spent time as a surf guide in Indonesia, always being out on the water paddling, fishing or surfing and now running my family clothing business Salt, Plettenberg Bay. Plenty of sailing miles acquired through the years but a first ocean crossing!

Bryan Mulliner – Crew

I can’t believe this is really happening, extremely excited for this adventure with my daughter and close friends. After a life changing journey with Bruce from Cape Town to Turkey via the Caribbean, I’ve been bugging Bruce for another ocean crossing so bring on the Cape2Rio race!

Jessica Mulliner – Crew

I am an ocean lover & currently a law student. Having spent time working on super yachts and sailing with family in Langebaan, I am so ready for my first Atlantic crossing, even more so to do it with family and close friends.

Tristen Tedder – Crew

Fresh off a Master’s degree in the Netherlands, I am very excited to be diving back into my sailing roots before heading into the superyachting world next year. I’ve acquired lots of nautical miles thanks to my dad Bruce but this will be my first big ocean crossing so let’s get to Rio!!
