- Apprentice Skipper - Day Skipper Practical Crew Member - Sailing Vessel Dona Mia - Oyster 42 11 March - 15 March 2024 Operating as part of the Day Skipper Crew, our roles involved acting skipper, engineer, galley, and deckhand. We spent 5 days aboard Dona Mia focusing on practicing MOBs, docking maneuvers, and executing the safe operation of a vessel under sail during our trip from Cape Town to Hout Bay. Deck Hand - Comp Crew Member - Sailing Vessel Dona Mia - Oyster 42 26 Feb - 1 March 2024 Operating as a Competent Crew member during our training course we assumed the roles of the skipper, engineer, galley and deck hand. Over the 5 days of training we covered 100miles, experienced what life aboard was like and learned how to be an essential member of a competent crew. Currently busy securing my B1/B2 Visa as well as my Schengen Visa. Will have both in hand by end of April.
