- Owner of a Muira 31ft Sloop (named Elwing), moored at False Bay Yacht Club. Race her every Wednesday evening in False Bay and regular medium distance and coastal cruising (often solo). Have sailed since a teenager although have no long distance experience. Would like to sail Cape2Rio for the Transatlantic experience, and to gain the miles to upgrade my formal qualifications from Day Skipper to Yachtmaster to enable me to skipper my own boat in the next Cape2Rio event.
