My name is Marco Porto, Master Of Yacht ISSA/Brazil, 45 years old, financial market executive. I was born in Porto Alegre and I learned to sail on the Guaíba River. I have been sailing for over 38 years and I have done many races around Brazil and ocean crossings. 

The crew of the sailboat ZaRa will be made up of friends with a lot of experience in sailing, they all have an ocean boat in Brazil or the Caribbean. We are very excited to participate in this great event that will be memorable for our lives in ocean sailing. 

The name ZaRa is a composition of my two daughters’ names: LaRA and LuiZA (ZaRa), our families are very excited to get to know South Africa. We are going to participate representing the Iate Clube Paranaguá – ICP.
